Dr. Juan Nicolás Peña Sánchez

Dr. Juan-Nicolás Peña-Sánchez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology, University of Saskatchewan. His collaborative and interdisciplinary research program aims to study innovative health care approaches that address the needs of populations and overcome the challenges of health care systems. His areas of expertise include epidemiology, public health, health services, and IBD research. Dr. Peña‐Sánchez is the provincial lead for national IBD studies using administrative data of Saskatchewan. He is co-leading the IBD among Indigenous Peoples research initiatives.
